I have treasured my personal Caedmon LPs of this shows for decades. IMHO, this is the very best production of this play actually mounted. Montgomery Clift offers perhaps the best shows as "Tom", Jessica Tandy is terrific as "Amanda", David David - a reliable "B" movie star from the 50s, a coming in contact with performance of this fabled "Gentleman Caller" guideline and, ultimately, Julie Harris is tragic as "Laura". And a side-note, the music was basically written by John Bowles. So i'm so delighted this effectiveness is upon CD. Is not going to miss this!
